FTOPS X Event #8 Recap

Andy Black hosted FTOPS X Event #8

This tournament came one buyin away from topping a $700,000 prizepool for a little NLHE 6-max Knockout action.  It provided a Sunday afternoon full of craziness as players realized they were freerolling with just a handful of knockouts under their belt.

Four members of Team Full Tilt grabbed their first cash during FTOPS X but none made a very deep run.

Rebuy tournaments are notoriously tough to determine whether a guarantee will be reached and Event #7 proved the point giving the players a nearly $40k overlay. The $100+9 No Limit Hold’em with unlimited rebuys attracted 1,893 players with 2,658 rebuys and 1,083 add-ons missing the $600,000 guarantee. $123,600 would be awarded to the last player standing.

2008 World Series of Poker Event #32 winner Luis Velador would be the member of Team Full Tilt to last the longest.

Brian Hastings of Team CardRunners ran deep in FTOPS X Event #6

FTOPS X Event #6 attracted 642 entrants for the $500+35 6-max Pot Limit Omaha tournament just missing the $350,000 guarantee bringing a little overlay to the players. It looked like was a great chance for two members of Team Full Tilt to make the final table but fell short.

FTOPS X Event #5 Recap

Scott Fischman was the sole member of Team Full Tilt to cash in FTOPS X Event #5

FTOPS X Event #5 was a $200+16 Limit Hold’em 6-max tournament.  Thoughts of watching paint dry and grass grow run through my mind.  879 players bought in creating a $175,800 prizepool.  The final table resembled a United Nations committee with players from the US, Norway, Australia, Canada and Germany.

FTOPS X Event #4 was a $300+22 with 1 rebuy and 1 add-on tournament that drew 815 players, 558 rebuys and 538 add-ons. The $300,000 guarantee was not reached so there a bit of an overlay for the event. Austrian pro Sigi Stockinger hosts FTOPS X Event #2, Pot Limit Omaha

With the game being Pot Limit Omaha and the early US start time it was no big surprise that the field would be dominated by a ton of top European players. Event #2 Pot Limit Omaha with Knockouts drew 1,165 players and the knockout bounties kept action moving quickly. This event also brought us our first Full Tilt red letter pro to a final table.

The Week at FTP: Schoenberg Me the Money!

Well folks, today is a very sad day for all of here at The Rail, as Big Donkey is officially no longer with us. So without further ado, let’s get this weekly wrap-up under way:
